Public Relations Essentials for Your Non Profit Seminar description As a result of the current severe economic downturn, the competition in the nonprofit sector for scarce resources will be more intense than ever. So how do you distinguish yourself from the pack? Being able to clearly articulate your message to the right audience is the key to your success. Among the many communications tools available to your organization, Public Relations are the most impactful and often the hardest to deliver. This seminar will walk you through the “how to’s” of effective public relations strategies, the differences between public relations and marketing and the best ways to package pitch and sell your organization. The seminar shall be conducted by Arlene Fortunato, founder and president of the Fortunato Consulting Group in Boston, a strategic development and communications firm specializing in the nonprofit sector - www.fortunatoconsulting.com. Arlene has over 30 years experience as a fundraiser and nonprofit executive in the Boston area. Previously she was Senior Vice President and Director of Public Affairs for Citizens Bank where she was the official spokesperson and responsible for all charitable giving, corporate sponsorships, community and media relations. Having been on both sides of the philanthropic equation as a giver and a solicitor, Arlene provides her unique perspective and insight on effective public relations strategies. Don’t miss this opportunity. This event is free and open to all nonprofit organizations and individuals interested in the nonprofit sector. Coffee shall be served. The Nonprofit Net Inc. is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization based in Lexington. Its mission is to unite nonprofits with their community and increase their capacity to deliver services.
